Responsibilities

Manage one or more programs.  Responsible for program development, design, and implementation.  Supervise all aspects of program operations, formulate budget, and define the scope of work.

  • Provide direct supervision of project staff including personnel administration, work assignments, recruitment and hiring, reviews, disciplinary action and training activities.
  • Prepare training curriculum and provide on-going training for project staff, clinic staff and program participants as required
  • In coordination with Clinic public relations staff, develop press releases and promotional material as needed
  • Participant of grant writing team 
  • Serve as a liaison and assist with collaborative support activities with community agencies, local government representatives, neighborhood residents and other Vista Community Clinic project staff

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field
  • Minimum two year's related experience
  • Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
Preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum two year's related experience or Master's degree in Public Health or related field
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Knowledge of available local community resources and government, community health centers, public assistance programs and state/federal regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
  • Proficient in MS Office programs, spreadsheet, desktop publishing programs and business e-mail communication systems
