I enjoy writing, majoring in English with a creative writing emphasis in college. My interests were torn, however, minoring in Linguistics and Sociology, my favorite course was Sociolinguistics! If I could go back today and throw myself wholly into college again, I would follow my interest in Behavioral Health. I have little doubt, however, that I would still choose to pursue writing as well.
I am something of a late bloomer, in terms of career, as I chose for many years to raise my children from home. Now that they are a little older, I'm passionately pursuing the simplicity of meaningful work and believe that any position in the Health Care industry affords one that benefit.

I am enthusiastic about increasing my knowledge in the Health Care field. Ultimately, I would like to learn and advance to a more clinical area focusing primarily on Behavioral Health, but I believe the best way to approach that is with a firm grasp on all aspects of health care, to include support staff. I feel I am most knowledgeable and experienced in the clerical work of caring for the individual in a residential setting. Though, predominantly working in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting, I have begun to expand my knowledge base through Patient Care Technician training, Basic Life Support for the Health Care Professional Certification and my experience as a Home Health Aid working with an elderly disabled gentleman.
