Provided patient care as directed: administered medication, including oral and intramuscular medications; performed treatments; assisted with Doctor⿿s Sick Call, assists with nursing management of chronic care clinics; responds to emergencies, providing emergency care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Performed subjective and objective data collection of patients as indicated, collected vital signs and timely documented all findings; collected urine or other body fluid specimens. Prepared patients for release or transfer to other facilities by reviewing patient care plan, completed Intersystem transfer summaries and release summaries, ensured discharge medication orders were completed and timely forwarded to pharmacy services; participated in work-related training and all institution training exercises.

Provided assistance to other healthcare staff; resolves problems investigates and documented problem areas of concern; reviewed shift report from preceding shifts; assisted physicians with medical procedures; assumed duties of other nurses during absences; counseled & provided education to patients regarding healthcare maintenance and prevention of disease; participated in Quality Assurance activities.

Performed administrative duties: attended meetings, scheduled multidisciplinary team meetings; performed or assisted with inventory and ordering of medical supplies; assists ancillary staff including medical technologist, schedulers as needed to ensure patient care needs were met other & other related duties as assigned.

Prepared and administered all types of medication. Maintains equipment, work area, supplies and stock meds. Changed and applied sterile dressings, administered prescribed treatments which require application of medication. Assists with physician chronic care clinics.
