According to bls.gov 28% of all new job growth in 2008 is expected to come in the health care industry. Eight of the top 20 fastest growing occupations in the United States are in health care. While the nursing shortage has been well publicized, other medical professions are now starting to reach what could be viewed as major shortages in staffing. Based on this information it is going to be more important for companies to be heavily engaged in the recruiting, hiring and retention process for health care workers.
