Job Description
The Environmental Service Aide performs simple repetitive tasks in maintaining an assigned area of the hospital in an orderly and sanitary condition according to established procedures. In doing so, moves light furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital departments and performs a variety of light housekeeping duties. Will perform other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education: Able to read, write and comprehend at level that provides for understanding of department competencies and organizational training. "Must be able to communicate well in English"
- Licensure: None
- Experience: (If STEP or PTD and normally scheduled to work less than 40 hours per pay period, must have minimum of one year full time experience in acute care hospital).
- Skills: Ability to comprehend and follow oral and/or written instructions. Interpersonal Skills must be excellent
- Physical Effort: "Refer to Physical Demands and Working Conditions Sheet."
- Hours: Day, Afternoon or Weekend Shifts. Must be flexible
