REG RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (These are minimum qualifications for employment in this position.)
1) Education: Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care.
2) Licensure: Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of
3) Experience: None required if normally scheduled to work at least 40 hours per pay period. (If STEP or PTD and normally scheduled to work less than 40 hours per pay period, must have minimum of one year full time experience in acute care hospital.) Must be knowledgeable of the respiratory care procedures and their application to patient care and present an attitude interested in learning.
4) Skills: Must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function; satisfactorily demonstrate required competencies in the care of patients, including age-specific competencies; read, listen and perform physician orders; accurately calculate medication dosages; use effective verbal and written communication skills; practice safe critical thinking skills and make appropriate judgments/decisions re: patient care.
