POINT OF USE COORDINATOR
The Point of Use (POU) Coordinator works under the supervision of the MMIS Manager. This Position maintains all Point of Use system functions and report design to ensure accurate supply inventories. Coordinates and maintains systems related activities with Central Supply and end-user departments. Maintains inventory records received from the Materials Management Information Systems, and communicates with Materials Management Contract Specialist on the Item Master. Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer and employee satisfaction. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Business.
- Licensure: None
- Experience: 2 years in Materials Management including responsibilities for inventory management. Experience in the use of automated inventory management systems preferable.
- Skills:
- Requires skill in translating demand forecasts into inventory requirements.
- Interprets procurement cycles and matches with demand in order to assure availability of supplies while minimizing inventory levels.
- Capable of generating charts, graphs, operating manuals, policy documents, log books and reports.
- Excellent communication skills, initiative and dependability.
