POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing with daily operation of the unit by providing employee supervision, quality improvement activities, and immediate follow-up to patient, physician, and employee issues. Practices within the scope of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, individualized nursing care, based upon knowledge, experience and critical thinking skills.
This is a newly created position at HFMC, enabling a highler lever of supervision, staff support and better quality care.
REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years of RN experience with proven reliability in a leadership role
Associates degree or equivalent
Illinois RN licensure in good standing
ACLS/CPR Certification
Able to provide quick response to emergencies and other non-routine situations
Utilizes sound judgment in resolving issues that are ambiguous or without previously defined precedent.
Superior critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Supervises 25-50 personnel, including RN???s, PCT???s, Unit Secretary
