Personal Touch is now looking to fill openings for HHAs in New York, NY! Personal-Touch provides home health care personnel and related services to individuals in their homes, and is available 24-hours per day, seven days per week. The Company, through its pool of approximately 3,000 nurses, provides skilled observation and assessment of the patient's physical and mental status, monitors the medication and dietary needs of the patient, administers appropriate clinical treatments, and provides instruction to patients and families. In addition to traditional home health services, Personal- Touch has developed specialty programs including mental health, pediatric, maternal/child, hospice, rehabilitation and others.

Job Responsibilities:
HHA duties may include, but are not limited to:
Their work enables elderly, disabled, and ill patients to live in their own homes rather than in a health care facility. HHAs contribute to the efficiency and quality of the health care system. With their help, patients can spend less time in the hospital, which not only reduces health care expenses, but also allows patients to enjoy the comforts of their own home. The primary role of the HHA is to perform assistive duties, such as personal hygiene, grooming, transfers (bed to chair), range-of-motion exercises (moving the joints), and proper positioning of the patient. HHAs can take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature), change nonsterile dressings (coverings for wounds), and assist with oral medications. Their work sometimes includes light housekeeping chores, such as shopping, cooking, and light cleaning.
