Across from the University of South Florida, you'll find University Community Hospital the flagship of University Community Health. This 431-bed facility is home to our six centers of excellence focusing resources on major disease areas including cancer treatment, cardiac care, women's health, pediatrics, diabetes management and orthopedics, and offer patients access to the most advanced technology and treatment options. AA degree from an accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistants, FL COTA License, BLS and a minimum of 1 year experience as COTA in an acute care setting or rehab facility. Home Care Experience is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Performs visits as ordered under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsible for following the home health patient occupational therapy Plan of Care as established by the Occupational Therapist and physicians orders. Coordinates care with Occupational Therapist and other disciplines promoting the team approach and continuity of care. Delivers high quality professional occupational therapy and education, and performs therapy skills with a high degree of proficiency. Notifies Occupational Therapist and pertinent others of changes in condition or need for reassessment of Plan of Care to meet patient needs. Completes documentation according to Agency Policy and Regulatory guidelines.
