Pharmacist

Job Description:

Responsible for the accurate dispensing of medication orders, the preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy agents, IV piggybacks, large volume IVs, syringes and making dosing recommendations to physicians based on approved kinetic dosing programs for certain medications. Responsibility for the supervision and approval of work done by the technician before dispensing. The pharmacist is the first line supervisor of the supportive personnel in the day to day activities. Patients of all ages are served. Implements and abides by customer service standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. BS Pharmacy degree required. Advanced degrees such as Pharm D. or MS Pharm are helpful but not required.Previous experience in dispensing chemotherapy agents and other IV products. Current licensure by the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy or eligibility for licensure.
