DIRECTOR OF NURSING – Long Term Care Unit
Job Requirements:
Minimum requirements include: Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Michigan, 3 years experience in a long term care facility within the last five years, two of which are progressive management/supervisory with direct involvement working with regulatory agencies (i.e., preparation for JCAHO, participation in CMS survey process), Knowledge of CMS regulations, State rules, JCAHO standards, quality indicators and quality measures related to Long Term Care preferred. Full-Time employment available.
Job Responsibilities:
The DON is a professional registered nurse responsible for the day-to-day resident care activities of the facility. The DON serves as a leader and clinical resource, assisting the Nursing Home Administrator in promoting and interpreting the philosophy, goals and objectives of Nursing Services.
