Pharmacy Technician

Job Description:

Support the pharmacist in the dispensing of medications to the patients. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the accurate input of medication orders into the information system, reading prescriptions for dispensing and preparation for a pharmacist check. Clerical work may be performed. Patients of all ages served. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.High school graduate, post high school pharmacy technician training desired, advanced training in data input, business or pharmaceutical applications desirable. Certification is desirable.Experience as a pharmacy technician desired. One year general office experience with medical background preferred. Technician Registration is required upon acceptance of position. Certification is desirable. Transportation available for off campus activities may be required. A valid Minnesota driver's license, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage may be required.
