Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program and is licensed by the State of Ohio.
Job Responsibilities:
Utilizes specific evaluative techniques. Contacts the referral source to suggest treatment alternatives when necessary. Demonstrates ability to independently manage a patient’s treatment program when a wide range of problems exist and where many variables are operating in the situation. Explains rationale of treatment to and level of understanding to patient family members, health care professionals and physicians. Performs ongoing appropriate re-evaluation of patient status. Modified goals and treatment based on re-evaluation of patient status. Provides written documentation and justification for current and continued services. Treatment plan includes realistic long-term and short-term goals.
Responsible for evaluation and treatment of sensory or motor deficits that impair the patient’s mobility or functional performance of gross motor activities. The staff level one occupational therapist monitors and supervises treatment provided by the PTA and clinical aides as well as providing quality treatment with realistic goal to return to patients to their prior level of activity.
