Gateway Regional Hospital is currently seeking a Nurse Manager in the Acure Rehab Unit.
Job Requirements:
We are seeking Acute Rehab Unit Nurse Manager candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with Master's Degree preferred. Nurse Manager candidates should also have a minimum of five years experience in nursing with at least three years of Acute Rehabilitation experience preferred. Candidates with prior management or charge nurse experience highly desirable. Nurse Manager candidates must also hold a valid Illinois license as a registered professional nurse (or must be eligible by endorsement).
Job Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Manager you will function at the middle level of nursing administration and will be accountable to the appropriate executive level administration. You will guide and direct patient care units in implementation of hospital and departmental goals and standards. The nursing manager assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24/7 basis. The Nurse Manager also assumes responsibility for the quality of patient care delivered in clinical areas defined within the organizational chart of the Department of Nursing. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for meeting the JCAHO standards for own administrative areas, while promoting collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments of the organization.
