Gateway Regional Hospital is currently seeking a Physician Assistant to work in an Orthopedic practice in Granite City, IL.

Job Requirements:

This Orthopedic Practice Physician Assistant position works scheduled shifts, Monday through Friday.  Some On Call requirement for evening, nights, weekends and holidays. 

We are seeking Physician Assistant candidates with the following background: 

Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and have completed a Physician Assistant Education Program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA). 

• Board Certified by the NCCPA.
• CPR Certified
• ACLS Certified
• Current Illinois Physician Assistant license.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Physician Assistant, you will be practicing medicine under the protocols of a supervising Orthopedic Surgeon, and will utilize his/her skills, knowledge, and experience to obtain complete medical histories, perform comprehensive examinations, order and initially interpret diagnostic laboratory and radiological studies, collaborates with patient and supervising Orthopedic Surgeon in the planning of therapeutic interventions for the care of this patient population.
