    Immediate Openings for Assistant in Speech Language Pathologist, STA
    Who speak Spanish and English

    Job Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS:1)            Graduate with a bachelor degree from an accredited school program in speech-language pathology2)            Currently licensed to practice as a Speech Therapy Assistant in the state of Texas3)            Relevant clinical experience REPORTS TO:1)            Supervising Speech Language Therapist2)            Divisional Manager or District Supervisor ENVIRONMENT:

    1. Expectation of 33 completed weekly visit quota for full time
    2. Expectation of 22 completed weekly visit quota for part time
    3. Expectation of a minimum four patients for PRN therapist

    Job Responsibilities:

    1)            Implements treatment plan as instructed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist 2)            Instructs patients, their families and other members of the health team in regards to therapy procedures3)            Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding changes in patient status to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and the appropriate team person4)            Records relevant treatment data in accordance with agency standards and completes and submits all documentation in a timely manner5)            Assists the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in preparation for patient care conferences and communicates with other members of the home health team to facilitate coordination of patient care6)            Participates in staff development and in-service education with the agency to learn new treatments, procedures, developmental skills etc.7)            Performs all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures. Adheres to all rules, regulations, code of ethics, guidelines and codes in federal, state and local laws which are concerned with the practice of speech language pathology8)            May be required to meet with supervisor, technical support personnel, staffing personnel, or other support staff as needed to maintain therapy standards and patient care.
