Job Requirements:
Must possess a master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university. Must have current licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board. Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical services under the direction of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor or Mental Health Director to inmates.
2. Provide mental health consultation and training to facility staff.
3. Maintain effective communication with Facility staff.
4. Maintain accountability for services provided though appropriate documentation and participation in Quality Improvement programs.
5. Maintain confidentiality of health care records.
