Job Requirements:
1. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
2. Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the State of Vermont
3. Emergency Room, Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred
4. Experience in delivery and administration of correctional nursing services preferred.
5. Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in an acute setting recommended
6. Good decision making ability essential
7. Ability to work under pressure
8. Must obtain and maintain security clearance
9. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
Job Responsibilities:
A Registered Professional Nurse with experience in the practice of nursing and possessing advanced studies and expertise in administration of Nursing Services. The Regional Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility and accountability for structuring, comprehensive planning and implementing the Nursing Service Program within their assigned region. Ensures nursing program&rsquos activities are based upon goals, objectives, and policies and procedures of CCS and the facility, and are compliant with ACA, NCCHC and State accreditation standards.
The Regional Office will be located in Waterbury, VT, and CCS will have sites throughout the state, including South Burlington, Rutland, St. Johnsbury, Newport, Swanton, Windsor and Springfield travel required as business needs dictate.
