    Job Description:

    This position contacts insurance payors to collect payment on outstanding patient balances; researches and resolves problem accounts as needed, and requests adjustments to patient accounts as needed in order to maximize collections and achieve collections performance goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Initiate collection follow-up of all unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payor Research, appeal, and resolve claim rejections, underpayments, and denials with appropriate Payor Respond to Payor communications with appropriate action in timely manner Monitor Direct Data Entry Internet access into Medicare claims system to ensure timely and accurate resolution of outstanding claims Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical personnel, teammates, and Payor representatives Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies Know, understand, and follow DaVita teammate handbook and safety and security policy and procedures Some light travel required Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position Other duties as assigned Available to work overtime as needed
