Must be able to lift 50 lbs of items throughout the day over and over again. Strong computer and Organizational skills are needed to be successful in this position within the village. The Inventory Technician is responsible for inventory control, maintenance, storage and utilization of the inventory system in accordance with DaVita Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, OSHA, CMS, AAMI, federal, state and local regulations. Other duties include:Establishes and maintains inventory records, logs, files, manual purchase orders and ensures appropriate levels of supplies, medications and equipment are available at all times using the automated inventory system (PICS); adjusts processes to accommodate clinic patient growth and item changes. Responsible for ordering, receiving, and issuing supplies including medications daily; performs daily, weekly and monthly counts of supplies and reissues utilizing the computerized system according to set standards. Responsible for stocking treatment areas daily and providing supplies to staff, including medications to staff. Maintains inventory on a first in first out (FIFO) basis and ensures that supplies do not expire before usage. Records inventory receipts, issues and transfers on a timely basis. Prints and reviews audit trail reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Communicates and reviews reports with the Center Director. Maintains neatness, cleanliness and safety of stock room per policy and regulations. Communicates with management, staff, purchasing agents and vendors regarding supply delivery and notifies Center Director of any unusual incidents. Performs duties and responsibilities of other positions in the clinic including, but not limited to Reuse Technician and water systems and disinfection. General housekeeping duties.
