Job Description:

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for reconciling patient account balances after all attempts for payment have been made from either government-sponsored insurance programs or commercial payers. This position will work with the patient to determine what, if any remaining balance is the responsibility of the patient, may process requests for balances to be referred to Medicare Bad Debt as appropriate, and determine if a patient will qualify for the Patient Financial Evaluation program. Additional responsibilities include ensuring accurate insurance information is recorded in billing systems, as well as resolving billing and financial issues from patients.
