Provides physical therapy services to hospital patients, in order to prevent, alleviate or correct physical disability, bodily dysfunction, or pain. Therapist Assistants are responsible for providing patient treatments/services according to a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist (PT). Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant academic program and successful completion of required clinical training by the academic facility required. No prior professional experience required. Prior field work experience must provide clear evidence of clinical skills consistent with basic entry level positions. Specific clinical training in areas of special interest desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills.BLS certification required. Licensure by the MN Board of Physical Therapy required.
