Physician Assistant

Job Description:

To assess, plan, evaluate, implement, and coordinate care of the cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patient with collaboration with the cardiac surgical team (cardiothoracic surgeon, the perfusionist, etc.). Involvement with the patient will cover the full continuum of care from preoperative evaluation through post discharge follow-up. Patients of all ages served. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Graduate from accredited physician assistant program required.Minimum of one year experience in cardiovascular surgery, vein harvesting and first assistant. Experience in pain management in ICU, step down unit, pre-op, admission, H&Ps and follow-up clinic.Basic Life Support & Advanced Cardiac Life support (BLS/ACLS) required. National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required. Minnesota Registration required.
