Provides services to patients ranging from the very young (newborn) to the elderly in order to prevent, assess, alleviate or correct physical disability, bodily dysfunction, or pain. Responsible for treating inpatients and outpatients. Responsible for evaluating patient needs, establishing treatment plans and providing treatments/services accordingly. May work with patients on an individual and/or group basis using current technology, treatment techniques and modalities consistent with department and hospital policies and procedures. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, successful completion of clinical training and successful completion of Hospital & State board exams for licensure in the State of Minnesota required. Completes continuing educational requirements.Prior clinical or field work experience must provide clear evidence of clinical skills consistent with basic entry level positions. Specific clinical training in areas of special interest desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.Licensed by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Examiners as a physical therapist required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
