If you are certified in Maryland, you must be a Geriatric Nurse Aide (GNA), not a CNA, in order to be eligible for endorsement in Virginia. Maryland CNA is not equivalent to Virginia's CNA designation. Contact the Virginia Department of Health Professions to obtain a reciprocal CNA certificate endorsement for Virginia.
