Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (Caritas Good Samaritan) in Brockton, Massachusetts, is a full service, acute care, Catholic hospital licensed for 212 beds, 17 bassinets, and 10 Special Care bassinets. Our commitment to providing quality care and excellent service has been recognized. The medical center recently scored in the top seven percent (7%) of hospitals nationwide for patient satisfaction. The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations recently scored the facility 91 points of a possible one hundred. The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons awarded Caritas Good Samaritan the highest rating possible for a community hospital cancer program, that of Community Hospital Comprehensive Care Program.
We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist.
- Flex - 32/40 Flex 8:30a to 5:00p with every 4th Weekend
- Day shift
Qualifications Required:Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy program. Must be able to successfully complete the orientation and perform all phases of the job within three months of hiring. Able to conform to the CGSMC standards of behavior. Able to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, case managers and social workers as well as other allied health professionals involved in the care of the patient. Must be able to comply with our Mission and Vision. CPR Certificiation is required.
Organizes and conducts physical therapy evaluation and treatment to restore function and prevent disability. The physical therapist, identifies, corrects, alleviates and prevents acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of anatomic or physiologic origin. The physical therapist performs independently within the professional role, judgment, and discretion, within the scope of department policies and goals. As directed by the department director; consulting with health professionals as appropriate for the progression of the patient’s physical therapy program. E.O.E.
$5,000 Sign on Bonus for those who qualify:
- Must have a minimum of at least two (2) years of documented experience in that specialty in an acute care setting
- Must work 32 hours or more a week
- Must work for Good Samaritan for 1 year
