Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (Caritas Good Samaritan) in Brockton, Massachusetts, is a full service, acute care, Catholic hospital licensed for 212 beds, 17 bassinets, and 10 Special Care bassinets. Our commitment to providing quality care and excellent service has been recognized. The medical center recently scored in the top seven percent (7%) of hospitals nationwide for patient satisfaction. The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations recently scored the facility 91 points of a possible one hundred. The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons awarded Caritas Good Samaritan the highest rating possible for a community hospital cancer program, that of Community Hospital Comprehensive Care Program.

We are currently seeking a Marketing/Community Outreach Event Assistant.

 Per-diem - Hours and shifts will vary, anywhere from 0 - 6 hours per wk

- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Certification Preferred
- Experience is preferred

Job Requirements

Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED, CPR certification preferred.  Bilingual preferred.   Valid Massachusetts drivers license and vehicle.

Job Responsibilities

In this per diem (as needed) position, you will assist our marketing staff with various events and activities.  Duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  •  Work closely with all the Community Outreach and Marketing staff to plan, schedule and coordinate outreach activities and events
  • Assist with making phone calls to confirm and coordinate events with local community agencies under the direction of supervisor
  • Familiarity with the Greater Brockton area preferred
  • Develop and maintain an inventory list of needed supplies and promotional giveaways while keeping the storage and work area organized
  • Assist in the ordering process for the above supplies and promotional giveaways
  • Transport material to identified locations for the set up and back to the hospital after events
  • Unpack material and giveaways and reorganize after each event
  • Carry materials and bags needed for educational displays, screenings and giveaways
  • Coordinate transportation and other logistics as needed
  • Other duties as determined by supervisor

Incumbent will be expected to lift between 0 and 70 pounds several times per day; and from 0 to 25 pounds several times per hour.
