Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (Caritas Good Samaritan) in Brockton, Massachusetts, is a full service, acute care, Catholic hospital licensed for 212 beds, 17 bassinets, and 10 Special Care bassinets. Our commitment to providing quality care and excellent service has been recognized. The medical center recently scored in the top seven percent (7%) of hospitals nationwide for patient satisfaction. The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations recently scored the facility 91 points of a possible one hundred. We are currently seeking an Emergency Assistant/Uit Coordinator to work in the ED.

 - Part-time - 24 Hours; 7a-3:30p or 7:30a-4p; Every other weekend
- Day shift w/every other weekend

Description of Work: The Emergency Assistant/Unit Coordinator position is a combination of both Ed Assistant duties and the Unit Coordinator's.

Job Requirements

Ed Assistant: Under the supervision of an RN assists in emergent life threatening intervention; patient examination, and treatment in the emergency dept. Activities include taking and recording vital signs, performing venipunctures for the purpose of obtaining, administering EKG's, assisting with procedures. EXPERIENCE: Three years of field work as an EMT-P/EMT-1 CERTIFICATION: Current EMT registration in MA, current CPR and ACLS certification.

Unit Coordinator:Transcribe doctors orders, assemble and organize medical records. Communicate well with staff and patients. Excellent telephone and data entry skills required. Associates degree preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with ability to multi task. Medical knowledge required.
