Established in 1985, Caritas Christi Health Care, the second largest health care system in New England, is a comprehensive, integrated health care delivery network providing community-based medicine and tertiary care in eastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

At the hub of the system's six-hospital network is Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston, a tertiary academic teaching hospital affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine. The other acute care hospitals in Massachusetts are Caritas Carney Hospital, Dorchester; Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton; Caritas Holy Family Hospital and Medical Center, Methuen; Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood; and Saint Anne's Hospital, Fall River.
Non-acute Caritas Christi facilities, which provide social, educational or health care services, include Caritas Home Care, Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, Caritas Labouré College, Caritas St. Mary's Women and Children's Center and Por Cristo, an international volunteer medical services organization.

Job Description:
Confer with Caritas Carney Hospital personnel involved with new system implementation and upgrades to find solutions and validate vendor proposals. Ensure that all plans provide sufficient system and network redundancy for mission critical applications. Work with department managers and application vendors to determine proper network specifications, gather pricing and ordering information. Assemble and configure new network hardware, install and upgrade firmware and operating systems and configure network management applications. Install and/or upgrade network hardware and software components as required. Maintain current operating system levels on switches, routers and wireless access points. Perform network administration tasks including configuring switch port settings and router interfaces. Maintain overall network support and ensures maximum up-time for mission critical applications.
Qualifications:
Four year college or university program certificate. Three years network experience in an enterprise computing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to prioritize projects and daily work flow. Ability to communicate effectively to personnel using written and oral formats. Ability to effectively prepare presentation material and present information. Ability to strategically plan and be proactive in approach. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret applicable technical documentation, system reports, software licenses and contracts. Ability to design and implement computer systems utilizing current industry technology. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems on a variety of hardware and software platforms.
