Working as a Case Management Assistant you will assist with coordination of case management clients, clinical utilization review, concurrent review and medical necessity review. Customer Service, including interaction with providers and members regarding the above listed services, as well as, eligibility, complaints, appeals, etc.
Qualifications
This position requires two years of ICD-9, CPT coding, or managed health care experience, computer literacy, and previous experience in a utilization review setting. A basic knowledge of medical procedures and terminology, and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are required. Incumbents must complete a hospital provided medical terminology course within six months of hire.
A Case Management Assistant certification is preferred. Two years of college level education in a healthcare or other related field are preferred.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
Work Schedule-
Full-time 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
Compensation-
$10.86 - $16.30/hour
