Physical therapy is working with patients with various debilitating disorders and/or injuries to progressively ease pain or increase their range of motion. Physical therapists must have extensive knowledge of how the human body works so as to properly identify the source of a patient's pain and in turn recommend the proper remedy. Physical therapy professionals also work within their office to help patients perform various exercises as well as teach them to do certain activities at home. In order to become a physical therapist, one must possess at least a master's degree.
The job outlook for physical therapy jobs is good through the year 2016 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS.) In addition, the BLS projects that the average job growth for physical therapist jobs will be much faster than average.
